Construction Induction Safety White Card Training
Thisconstruction induction training course satisfies the legal requirements for General OHS Construction Induction for construction workers in NSW. This course is often referred to as the 'Green Card' or 'White Card' safety course.
This course is formally known as the National Construction Induction Card, or 'CPCCOHS1001 - Work Safely in the Construction Industry'.
Course Duration:
- Minimum of 6 hours plus breaks
- Typically 8:00am to 2:30pm or 9:00am to 3:45pm
Course Overview:
This white card course provides participants with the knowledge & skills to apply the principles of risk management as an integral part of an effective OHS management system. The course also addresses the provisions of the OHS Workplace Injury Management and Workers Compensation Legislation, and assists in the development of appropriate attitudes to enable employees to effectively participate in the prevention of workplace injuries and illnesses.
Course Content:
- WHS legislation in the Workplace.
- Communication and Consultation in WHS.
- Safe Systems of Work in Construction.
- Emergencies & First Aid in the Workplace.
- Risk Management.
Who Should Attend:
All new workers carrying out construction work, including: self-employed persons; labourers; apprentices; trainees; trades-persons; supervisors and project managers, employees who have not worked in the construction industry for over 2 years.
Certification:
Successful participants will receive a Western Australia white card, which is valid in NSW.
Participants must complete the full course to be eligible for a certificate.
Course Notes:
All participants receive notes and handouts that can be used as reference after the course.
